As the season progresses, the exposed topsides of the needles remain a pleasant yellow while the undersides and shaded interior foliage turn lime green creating a striking contrast. ‘The Limey’ thrives in moist, well-drained soil.

Super hardy with a super form, Prairie Statesman® will make an elegant statement under some of the harshest conditions. Soft, emerald green foliage, with a hint of silvery blue, adorns this perfectly symmetrical tree. Its columnar habit provides a narrow footprint making it suitable for the home garden as well as large landscapes. Drought tolerant and extremely cold hardy, it is an excellent selection by Dr. Dale Herman, North Dakota State University. Pinus cembra Prairie Statesman® (‘Herman’)

Pinus cembra 'Silver Sheen'
A full, open habit distinguishes this Swiss Stone Pine, the largest of those we grow. Like other cembras, it produces long, two-toned needles that twist and weave together, forming bushy, blue-green branches with a "silver sheen". The beautiful, extremely hardy tree needs little pruning to stay in scale and makes a vastly superior alternative for Pinus flexilis 'Vanderwolf's Pyramid', especially in suburban landscapes. Deserving of greater use, it resists pests and disease, grows slowly and produces year-round beauty in many landscape positions.

David Austin Rose 'Princess Alexandra of Kent'
We are very honoured to name this rose for Princess Alexandra, who is a cousin to Queen Elizabeth II. She is a keen gardener and great lover of roses. The rose that bears her name has unusually large flowers of a warm, glowing pink. They are full-petalled and deeply cupped in shape, all enclosed in a ring of outer petals of a softer pink; creating a most pleasing effect. In spite of their size, they are never clumsy; being held nicely poised on a well-rounded shrub. Because of their size, there is a lot to be said for planting in groups of three, keeping both flowers and growth nicely balanced. They have a delicious fresh Tea fragrance which, interestingly, changes completely to lemon as the flower ages – eventually taking on additional hints of blackcurrants
